Delegately

Terms of Service

Effective August 8, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Delegately, a free platform for running Model UN conferences, operated from Ontario, Canada. Organizers accept them when creating an account; delegates accept them when submitting a registration. They're written to be read, not skimmed past — the short version: use the platform honestly, your content stays yours, and a free tool comes without guarantees.

1. Accepting these terms

You accept these terms by creating an account or by submitting a registration form, and you also agree to our Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled. If you're under 18, make sure your parent or guardian is aware you're using the platform — they'll be asked by email to confirm your conference registration.

2. The service

Delegately provides tools for conference organizers: registration forms, delegate management, committee assignment, position-paper collection, and awards tracking. Conferences themselves — their events, venues, fees, and decisions — are run by their organizers, not by Delegately. We're the software, not the conference.

3. Accounts

Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think your account has been compromised. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Organizers are responsible for how their conference team uses the data delegates entrust to them.

4. Acceptable use

  • Only enter information that's accurate and yours to give.
  • Don't upload content that's unlawful, infringing, hateful, or harassing.
  • Don't probe, overload, or try to break the platform's security, or access data that isn't yours.
  • Organizers: use delegate information only to run your conference — nothing else.

5. Your content

Whatever you submit — registrations, position papers, conference setups — stays yours. You give Delegately a non-exclusive licence to store and display it to the people who need it to run the conference (your conference's secretariat and directors). You're responsible for making sure what you upload doesn't infringe anyone's rights.

6. Reporting problems and copyright

To report abusive content, a copyright concern, or anything that shouldn't be on the platform, email delegatelyprivacy@gmail.com. We review reports promptly and remove content that breaks these terms, and we forward copyright infringement notices to the uploader as Canadian law requires.

7. Ending or suspending access

We can suspend or remove accounts or content that violate these terms, and organizers can delete their conferences (and the data in them) at any time. You can stop using the platform whenever you like and ask us to delete your data — see the Privacy Policy.

8. No warranties

Delegately is free and provided as is and as available. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we aren't responsible for the accuracy of information conferences or delegates enter.

9. Limits on our liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Delegately isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (like lost data, lost opportunities, or costs of a disrupted event), and our total liability for any claim connected to the platform is capped at CAD $50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law doesn't allow us to exclude.

10. Organizers' responsibility

If a legal claim against Delegately arises from a conference's own content or conduct — for example, material an organizer publishes through the platform — that conference's organizer agrees to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date above and flag the change on the site; organizers may be asked to accept the new version at their next sign-in. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept it.

12. Law, courts, and the fine print

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, and disputes belong to the courts of Ontario. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions? Email delegatelyprivacy@gmail.com.
